Emirates Named Official Global Airline Partner of the NBA
As part of this partnership, Emirates will display its logo on referee jersey patches at the NBA, WNBA and G League.
Emirates, one of two flag carriers of the UAE, has just been announced as the official partner of the NBA, the world’s premier professional basketball league.
As the inaugural title partner of the Emirates NBA Cup, the Emirati airline will get branding through virtual in-arena signage and above backboards during nationally televised NBA games.
Additionally, the airline will also be part of marquee league events, including as a partner of NBA Crossover, and as a presenting partner of the NBA Finals Legacy Project.
As part of this sponsorship of the North American league’s new in-season tournament, the Dubai-based airline’s logo will be featured on referee jerseys in the NBA, women’s WNBA, and G League. NBA referees will debut the new Emirates jersey patch at the All-Star game in Indianapolis on February 18th of this year, while G League officials will don jersey’s with the patch later on, during the 2024/2025 season.
Finally, Emirates will now be offering in-flight NBA content on all flights, including long-form documentaries, player profiles, and interviews.
This partnership with the NBA marks another major achievement for Emirates, which possesses an extensive global sports sponsorship portfolio, including with European football clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, and Lyon.
