Karim Abdel Aziz & Marwan Hamed to Film Star-Studded King Tut Movie
This will be Abdel Aziz’s fourth film with Hamed after the box office successes of ‘The Blue Elephant’ and ‘Kira We El Gin’.
After blow-out box office successes with ‘The Blue Elephant’ (2014), ‘The Blue Elephant 2’ (2019) and ‘Kira We El Gin’ (2022), Egyptian star Karim Abdel Aziz is reuniting with celebrated filmmaker Marwan Hamed and author Ahmed Mourad for their fourth collaboration - and this time, they’re recreating ancient Egyptian history with a cinematic portrayal of the Boy King Tutankhamun.
Titled ‘Al Faroon Al Akheer’ (‘The Last Pharaoh’), the movie will be split between the life of King Tutankhamun in the 14th century BCE and the 20th century CE, with Karim Abdel Aziz playing a character in the more modern era. The movie is expected to be a serious historical work, and will involve a star-studded cast and crew of Egyptian and international talents, which have yet to be announced.
The film will be jointly produced by Media Hub and United Media, and is scheduled for filming in 2025.
