Karim Abdel Aziz Enters Survival Mode in Teaser for ‘Project X’
The Egyptian star teams up with director Peter Mimi again in a claustrophobic new thriller, set to hit cinemas on May 21st.

Karim Abdel Aziz is back and grittier than ever in the new teaser for ‘Project X’, an upcoming action-thriller directed by Peter Mimi (‘El Ekhteyar’). The teaser offers a tense glimpse into what looks like one of the more stripped-down and suspense-driven projects to come out of Egyptian cinema this year.
Clocking in at under a minute, the teaser keeps things deliberately sparse. We see Abdel Aziz bloodied and alone, stumbling through shadows and corridors with a look that reads less “hero” and more “hunted.” There’s no exposition, no explosions—just the quiet hum of dread and a visual language that hints at paranoia, isolation, and survival.
The film, slated for a May 21st theatrical release, is still cloaked in secrecy, with no plot synopsis having been revealed yet.
