New Documentary Explores Life of Renowned Author Osama Anwar Okasha
The film delves into the artist's contemplations on Egyptian identity and his struggles on various fronts.

The first part of a documentary film titled ‘Osama Anwar Okasha’ is set to air on the AlWathaeqya channel in July, showcasing the life and work of the renowned Egyptian screenwriter.
The film offers a comprehensive look at Okasha's nearly 40-year journey in Cairo and his contributions to Egyptian cinema and theatre. He’s famed for such titles as ‘Layali el Helmeyya’ and ‘El Shahd wel Demou’, as well as his contemplations on Egyptian identity.
The documentary features a cast of prestigious artists, including Ilham Shaheen, Lucy, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Sabreen, and director Jamal Abdel Hamid, as well as critics and writers such as Abdullah Al-Senawy, Sayed Mahmoud, Magda Morris, Hamdi Abdel Rahim and Osama Abdel Fattah.
