The hike is attributed to the return of regular air flights after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions were rolled back globally.
Aug 13, 2022

The Central Bank of Egypt announced a record-breaking hike in the tourism sector’s revenue.
Between July 2021 and March 2022, the sector earned USD 8.2 billion in revenue compared to USD 3.1 billion over the same period the year before - adding up to a USD 5.1 billion increase.
The hike is attributed to the return of regular air flights after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions were rolled back globally, as well as the consistent push for vaccines within Egypt and around the world
