The Egyptian Ministry of Endowments has pledged EGP 30 million of relief aid for Libya, Morocco and Slovenia. Each country will receive EGP 10 million to support their recovery efforts after being struck by a series of natural disasters.
Multiple regions of Libya were severely impacted by Storm Daniel, which has caused the deaths of over 2,800 people due to heavy flooding and extensive damage to infrastructure. Morocco recently endured its deadliest earthquake in over a century, which has claimed the lives of at least 2,800 people and injured more than 2,500. Large parts of Slovenia were heavily affected by floods in August, causing up to EUR 7 billion in property damage.
