New BRT Bus Stops Spotted on the Ring Road

Two new bus stops have been installed along Cairo’s Ring Road, as part of a new line of environmentally friendly electric buses being manufactured by Volvo in Sweden.Located near El Salam and Police Academy, the stations have been partially built by the bus’s designated lane, and are the first of a total of 49 bus stations planned for the upcoming Bus Rapid Transit system by the Ministry of Transport.

The bus stops are accessible by tunnels or pedestrian stairs, and should be available for public use soon.
