Ministry of Education Opens Volunteer Positions at Egyptian Schools
With only a few weeks left until the start of the next academic year on October 9th, the Ministry of Education is looking to fill empty teaching roles with experienced volunteers.
The Ministry of Education has opened the door for volunteers, in response to a staff deficit in Egyptian schools. Holders of post-secondary degrees can apply to volunteer in schools, where they will carry out roles assigned to them by full-time teachers.
With only a few weeks left until the start of the next academic year on October 9th, the Ministry of Education is looking to fill these empty teaching roles quickly. As such, the ministry will pay volunteers EGP 20 per class, with a maximum of 24 classes a week for 11 months.
Each volunteer will be directly overseen by a director, and must have previous teaching experience. Volunteers cannot work at a school where one of the students bears any familial relation to them.
