New Details About Egypt's Locally-Produced Tablets Revealed
25% of the tablet's components are locally produced, while 800 tablets are created per day, with plans to increase that number to 1,000 tablets per day in the near future.
Coinciding with the Supreme Council of Universities' decision to convert all university textbooks into ebooks by September 2021, Egypt will start releasing locally-produced electronic tablets to the market on that same date. But of course there's a few things we all need to know before we invest in a new electronic device, namely: what are the specs? We're not going to even look at a tablet without staring vacantly at a bunch of numbers and trying to figure out if we can fit the full run of 'Friends' on there. According to Hanan Saeed, a Production Manager at the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the tablet will have 128GB of memory, with 6GB of RAM. Just as vitally, he's revealed that it will have a 5 Megapixel front camera, and a 16 Megapixel rear camera. Sharp enough, we think.
