In our first Shreet Cocktail playlist of the year, the SceneNoise team selects the most standout releases from across the MENA region, spanning various genres. From indie pop to obscure electronic beats and alt-rock cuts, this list offers something for everyone. This edition features new music from Jordanian rock band Jadal, Palestinian-Egyptian artist Ma-Beyn and Moroccan artist Haris Hamza.

On the playlist, we have the legendary Amman rockers Jadal with their latest release, ‘Ya Reit’. The band returns with a track that showcases a dynamic structure, exploring various peaks and valleys in composition and instrumental passages. Exceptional guitar work by Radaideh subtly incorporates influences of punk and sludge into their signature alternative rock sound.

Moroccan artist Haris Hamza releases his new EP, ‘Is Rare’, from which we’ve selected the track ‘3ayn Chikhla’. In this piece, Haris combines an electronic base with strong Moroccan and Afro influences. His pitched-down vocals complement the track’s layered instrumentation, bringing the EP to a well-rounded close.

Also on the playlist, we have new music from Nagham Saleh, who delivers a rendition of Sherihan’s iconic folk song ‘Beba’, Abed, who offers a synthwave piece with ‘2001’, and Sydro, whose blood-pumping ‘Synaptic Overload’ rounds out the selection.
