Registration Opens for Egyptian Child Olympics
Hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egyptian Child Olympics is open for registeration at any youth centre in the country until May 20th.
If your little one has a knack for a sport or two, this may just be their big break. Registration for the Egyptian Child Olympics has officially opened for child athletes aged 12 to 15 years old. Kids will be able to register at their nearest youth centre anywhere in the country until May 20th.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has set up the event as an emulation of the international Olympic Games, and has designed it to enable teams at the national level to practice for and take on global competitions.
Athletes born between 2007 and 2009 can apply to compete in any of the following games: basketball, volleyball, handball, karate, taekwondo, table tennis, swimming, weight lifting, wrestling, and Judo. Should they be one of the top three winners, they’ll be rewarded with medals and financial prizes.
