Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz is set to lead ‘Al Amir’, a six-episode action series scheduled to begin filming on April 27th across Riyadh and Cairo.
Created by Turki Al Shaikh and directed by Stephen Hopkins, the production is being developed with an international team, with Ezz currently undergoing script rehearsals and intensive action training ahead of filming.
The series will be shot in Saudi Arabia at Al Hisn Big Time studios in Riyadh as well as in Cairo, with the production structured around a global-scale execution. It is produced by the General Entertainment Authority and Sela Studios, with a focus on delivering complex action sequences.
Written by Salah El Jehini, the cast includes Amina Khalil, Sami El Sheikh, Tuba Büyüküstün, Meryem Uzerli, Pedro Alonso and Paul Anderson alongside Ezz.
The story follows an Egyptian officer operating undercover within a network of international conflicts, assuming the identity of a high-profile wanted figure while attempting to prevent an imminent attack. The narrative is positioned as an action-driven political thriller with additional focus on personal and family dimensions.
The series is scheduled for release in 2027.
