Award-Winning Author Noor Naga Will Publish Her Debut Memoir in 2027
The Egyptian-Canadian author of 'If an Egyptian Cannot Speak English' grapples with suffering near and far in her upcoming memoir, scheduled for publishing in fall 2027.
Egyptian-Canadian writer Noor Naga, the author of award-winning novel ‘If an Egyptian Cannot Speak English’, announced that her debut memoir is set for publishing in fall 2027. Titled ‘Third Person’, the memoir will be published by non-profit American independent publishing house Graywolf Press.
Described by Naga as part spiritual reckoning and part political manifesto, the book follows the author grappling with questions around patient autonomy, end-of-life “care” and shared decision-making after her grandmother suffers a series of strokes.
Within the broader context of the ongoing genocides in Palestine and Sudan, the author reflects on suffering near and far.
