Art D’Egypte Brings Egypt to the Heart of UK in Upcoming Exhibit
The collaboration with Christie’s London celebrates the famed ‘Forever is Now’ exhibitions that took place by the Giza Pyramids.
Over the past two years, Art D’Egypte has brought some of the most prominents artists in the world to bring their larger-than-life installations to the Great Pyramids of Giza with the famed ‘Forever is Now’ exhibits. This month, Art D’Egypte will fly to the United Kingdom to hold ‘The Art of Disruption: Art D’Egypte’s Retrospect’ in Mayfair, London, where visitors will get the chance to reflect on some of the most iconic pieces that helped define ‘Forever is Now’.
In collaboration with Christie’s, the exhibition will feature a global roster of artists and their works, including JR’s ‘Greetings from Giza’ (2021) installation, Syrian-born, Swedish-patriated visual artist Jwan Yosef’s ‘Vital Sands’ (2022), public and urban artist SpY with ‘ORB’ (2022) and more.
With a mission to view Egypt’s landmarks through a contemporary experimental lens, Art D’Egypte left its mark over the past half decade, from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the bustling alleyways of Old Cairo’s El Moez Street.
The exhibition is open to the public and will run at the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau from May 18th to May 25th.
