Egyptian actor Amir El-Masry recently gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of ‘In Camera’, a British film directed and written by Naqqash Khalid, which will be showcased in the Special Out-of-Competition category at the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF).

‘In Camera’ follows Aden (played by El-Masry), a young actor enduring a series of unsettling auditions before taking control of his narrative. The cast includes Nabhaan Rizwan, Rory Fleck Byrne and Antonio Aakeel. ‘In Camera’ is Khalid’s directorial debut for a feature film, with El-Masry’s performance having garnered widespread praise from critics.

Showing at CIFF on Sunday, November 17th, at 9:00 PM at the Small Theater, the film will also have a second screening on Tuesday, November 19th, at 4:00 PM at Zamalek Cinema. In Camera previously premiered at the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and was featured in the BFI London Film Festival, competing for the Sutherland Award.
