In solidarity with Palestine, the Child Centre of Civilization and Creativity has joined forces with the General Union of Palestinian Women to host a ‘Day for Palestine’ at Cairo’s Child Museum this Friday, December 8th. The day aims to preserve the cultural heritage and national identity of the Palestinian people from erasure.
The event will honour 75 years of Palestinian resistance against the brutal Israeli occupation, and celebrate the rich tapestry of Palestinian culture. The day will feature a digital art workshop with Egyptian artist Amr Amin, a live music performance by Mohamed Al-Sharif, face-painting sessions for kids, and a bazaar selling Palestinian products. Additionally, there will also be a Palestinian Dabke dance session and an art session for Palestine organised by the Edrak development program for people with special needs.
Doors open at 9 AM and attendance is free of charge.
