Czech Centre Cairo Launches Street Animal Photography Workshop
Participants will explore themes of compassion, care and coexistence in public spaces.
Up-and-coming photographers in Cairo will have the opportunity to document the lives of street animals and the people who care for them through a new workshop organised by the Czech Centre Cairo.
Running from February 27th to March 7th, 2026, the workshop is organised by Meow Tours in collaboration with the Czech Centre and the Austrian Cultural Forum Cairo.
The programme consists of four sessions centred on visual storytelling, with a focus on composition and light. According to the Czech Centre, participants will explore themes of compassion, care and coexistence within public spaces.
The workshop is open to emerging photographers aged 17 and above who are interested in developing their technical and narrative skills.
Selected works produced during the programme will be exhibited at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo following the workshop’s conclusion.
The participation fee is EGP 1,500. Registration is available through the Czech Centre Cairo’s official website.
