Dubai to Host Global Mixed Martian Arts Event in 2025
The event will feature top international MMA talent and culminate in a grand finale in Dubai on January 25th, 2025.
Dubai is set to become the epicenter of mixed martial arts (MMA) with the launch of the ‘Road to Dubai’ championship. A new global series organized by the Professional Fighters League (PFL), the event will feature top international MMA talent and culminate in a grand finale in Dubai on January 25th, 2025, at the Coca-Cola Arena in City Walk.
The championship will be headlined by undefeated Bellator Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov, who brings an 18-0 record to the competition. Nurmagomedov will defend his title against Ireland’s Paul ‘Big News’ Hughes, fresh off a career-defining win at PFL’s Battle of the Giants.
This global championship will not only attract MMA fans worldwide but also offer a platform for local Emirati athletes to develop and compete on the global stage. The multi-year agreement aims to support the growth of MMA in the UAE, with an emphasis on nurturing homegrown talent.
