Registration Opens for Dubai’s Global Prompt Engineering Championship
AI experts worldwide will compete in Art, Video, Gaming, and Coding for a Dhs 1 million prize pool.
Registration has opened for the second edition of the Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025, the world’s largest generative AI competition dedicated to advancing prompt engineering as a discipline. Organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) under the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), the competition aims to foster global collaboration in AI by bringing together creative and technical minds from around the world.
This year’s edition, taking place on April 22nd to the 23rd during Dubai AI Week, will see participants compete in four categories—Art, Video, Gaming and Coding—for a total prize pool of Dhs 1 million. The challenge pushes AI professionals and enthusiasts to craft precise instructions for AI models to generate unique content, testing their creativity, speed, and technical accuracy.
Following the March 22nd registration deadline, 24 finalists (six per category) will be selected to compete live at AREA 2071, Emirates Towers. The competition will unfold over two days, with the top three competitors from each category advancing to the final round, where winners will be determined by a panel of AI experts.
“This April, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship will unite top AI engineers, designers, and prompt programmers in a high-energy environment to explore the next frontier of AI,” Saeed Al Falasi, Director of the DCAI, said. “This event strengthens Dubai’s position as a global testbed for AI innovation, ensuring technology is developed with real-world impact and for the benefit of humanity.”
Last year’s edition attracted thousands of submissions from nearly 100 countries, with 30 finalists from 13 nations, including Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Morocco.
