Hajj 2027 Registration Opens for Emirati Citizens on September 14th
Emirati citizens can apply for Hajj 2027 until September 25th, with approved pilgrims set to be announced on October 9th.
Hajj 2027 registration for Emirati citizens opens on September 14th, with applications accepted until September 25th through the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat’s smart app and website.
Applicants will be selected through an automated screening process based on approved criteria and requirements. The authority expects to publish the names of approved pilgrims on October 9th, after which those selected will be contacted to complete the remaining procedures.
The timetable is intended to support earlier preparations for the Hajj season, including services for pilgrims before departure and at the holy sites in Makkah.
In July, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviewed plans to improve services for Emirati pilgrims, with a focus on smoother travel, stronger support and the full journey from departure through to their return home.
A total of 6,228 Emirati citizens were approved to perform Hajj in 2026, while more than 1.7 million pilgrims from 165 countries took part overall.
For the 2027 season, Saudi authorities have set April 7th as the final deadline for Umrah pilgrims to leave the Kingdom ahead of Hajj. Arafah Day is expected to fall on May 15th, based on astronomical calculations.
