First-Ever Global AI Championship to Take Place in Dubai
The event will bring together over 10,000 participants from 100 countries, including AI experts, industry leaders, and policymakers, to explore AI’s growing impact across various sectors.

Dubai is set to host the inaugural Dubai AI Championship from April 21st to 25th, 2025 with a USD 272,000 prize pool on the line as part of Dubai AI Week—a city-wide initiative exploring the growing role of AI in governance, business, and society.
More than 10,000 participants from over 100 countries—including AI practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders—are expected to take part in the week-long event, which features a series of high-profile summits, competitions, and expos.
The championship’s headline event, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, will take place April 22nd and 23rd, challenging participants across four categories: art, video, gaming, and coding. Finalists will compete for the prize by showcasing their skills in real-time creative and technical problem solving.
Dubai AI Week is being hosted in collaboration with major global tech players including Meta, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Nvidia, OpenAI, and others. The week will also see the return of the AI Retreat, a closed-door gathering of global AI policymakers and experts, and the Machines Can See Summit, which will focus on AI policy and ethics under the theme ‘Good AI: Making the World a Safer Place’.
