Esaad Younes to Star in New Play 'Mrs. As As' for Riyadh Season 2024

Veteran Egyptian actress and TV presenter Esaad Younes is set to return to the stage with a new play titled ‘Mrs. As As’. Scheduled to run from November 7th to November 11th, the production will take place at Mohammed Alali Theatre in Boulevard Riyadh City as part of the 5th edition of Riyadh Season.

The performance marks Younis' first theatrical appearance in 30 years, following her role in the 1995 play ‘Ballo’. Joining her in the production are Haggag Abdulazim, Karim Afifi, Mirna Gamil and Mohammed Tharwat.

The play’s story centres on an aristocratic genie who returns after her death to find her life disrupted by her husband's marriage to a younger woman, her children's changed behaviour, and the sale of her inherited home. As she seeks to restore order, an unexpected surprise awaits her.
