Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama to Showcase at AlUla Wellness Festival
The Japanese artist will showcase ‘The Brilliance of the Souls’, an immersive infinity mirror room at AlJadidah Arts District.
Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, one of the most prominent contemporary artists in Japan, will exhibit her installation 'The Brilliance of the Souls' as part of the AlUla Wellness Festival, which will run from October 19th until November 4th.
Designed to blend with AlUla's natural rocky landscape, 'The Brilliance of the Soul' will invite visitors through a mysterious threshold at AlJadidah Arts District, before shutting the door behind them and immersing them in a mirrored room filled with multicoloured lights that hang from the ceiling, reminiscent of celestial bodies in the night sky.
Kusama, 90, is a prestigious contemporary artist whose work includes sculptures, paintings, films, performance art, fashion and literature. 'The Brilliance of the Souls' is part of her 'Infinity Mirror Room' series, which pulls viewers into a vision of endless reflections.
