Nicolas Mouawad Joins New Historical Drama by ‘El Ekhteyar’ Director
Directed by Peter Mimi, Mouawad joins the cast of upcoming Ramadan series ‘El Hashasheen’ as Persian scholar Omar El-Khayyam.
Lebanese actor Nicolas Mouawad joins the cast of ‘El Hashasheen’, a historical drama scheduled for the Ramadan 2024 season, as Persian scholar Omar El-Khayyam. Led by ‘El Ekhteyar’ director Peter Mimi, the series will take us back to the formation of the Order of Assassins in the 11th century, and will star Egyptian actor Karim Abdel Aziz as its founder, Hassan El Sabah.
The series features a star-studded cast including Fathy Abdel Wahab, Sherif Salama, Mirna Noureldin and Yasser Aly Maher, and a script written by Abdul Rahim Kamal.
Mouawad recently starred in the hit Shahid series ‘Al Thaman’ (2023), an Arabic adaptation of the Turkish series ‘Binber Gece’ (2006). He also just wrapped up filming for new TV series ‘Dahab’, featuring American actor James Franco.
