Palestinian Poet Mosab Abu Toha Hosts Reading at AUC CultureFest

Acclaimed Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha will host a poetry reading on Monday, April 22nd, at AUC CultureFest, followed by an audience Q&A. Abu Toha, who arrived in Egypt from Gaza following the opening of the Rafah crossing several months ago, will perform a selection of his recent poems in English, which are centred on themes of city, homeland and freedom.

Aby Toha is currently a writer in residence at AUC, and his poetry reading marks the culmination of AUC Tahrir CultureFest events taking place in the Tahrir Campus’ Oriental Hall, following six days of immersive events and experiences, including talks, concerts, performances, history walks and bike tours.

Tahrir CultureFest is running until the evening of April 22nd in Downtown Cairo. Reservations for talks, experiences and events can be made at the AUC Tahrir CultureFest website. To read more about Mosab Abu Toha, his life and his work, check out our Portrait of Palestinian Poet Mosab Abu Toha.
