Inspired by the legendary singer's life, the musical will debut at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina before moving to Cairo in November.
A new Egyptian-French musical theatre production inspired by the life and legacy of legendary singer Dalida is set to premiere this October, with internationally acclaimed soprano Farrah El Dibany taking on the lead role and filmmaker Khairy Beshara directing.
Titled 'Dalida... The Song That Never Ends', the production was officially unveiled during a press conference at the French Embassy in Cairo. The musical has been developed as part of the 2026 Mediterranean Season, a French-led cultural initiative celebrating artistic collaboration across the Mediterranean.
Its world premiere is scheduled for October 31st at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where it will also serve as the closing event of this year's Mediterranean Season. The production will then travel to Cairo for a series of performances in November.
Inspired by Dalida's life and artistic legacy, the production brings together Egyptian and French creative talent in a new theatrical interpretation of one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated musical icons.
