VOX Cinemas to Screen Films From Cairo International Film Festival
The curated selection of films will screen at VOX Cinemas at Mall of Egypt and City Centre Almaza.
Is your Oscar de la Renta red carpet gown still stuck in customs? Well, you’ll be glad to know that a curated selection of the films screening at this year’s edition of Cairo International Film Festival, running from November 13th to November 22nd, will be making their way to theatre screens at VOX Cinemas in Mall of Egypt and City Centre Almaza.
The films will be screened over the coming week, from November 14th to November 22nd. The line-up includes Cairo Classics ‘Al Zawga Al Thania’, starring Soaad Hosny and directed by Salah Abu Seif, ‘Qasr El Shoq’ directed by Hassan El Imam, ‘Al Shahat’, directed by Houssam El-Din Mustafa, and ‘Al Qahira 30’, directed by Salah Abu Seif.
American classics such as ‘The Godfather 2’, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, ‘Being John Malkovich’ by Spike Jonze, and Indian classic ‘The Lonely Wife’ directed by Satyajit Ray will also be screened. ‘Disco Africa: A Malagasy Story’ directed by Luck Razanajaona, and ‘Thelma’, directed by Josh Margolin, both from the International Panorama category, will also show at VOX, with more films expected to be announced over the coming days.
