Zawya Cinema Celebrates New Edition of ‘Zawya Shorts’ Film Screenings

As part of their 10-year anniversary celebrations, Downtown Cairo’s indie theatre Zawya Cinema will be hosting a special ‘Zawya Shorts’ film festival.

Taking place between March 20th and April 7th, the eighth edition of ‘Zawya Shorts’ will commemorate the history of Egyptian cinema by dividing their screenings into two phases. The first will showcase an out-of-competition section featuring previous award-winning films from Zawya’s past seven editions. Meanwhile, the second – their regular competition section – will include 33 film screenings this year.
