Edtech GAGA Raises $2.5M Pre-Series A to Expand Arabic Learning Model
The round scales GAGA’s live, Arabic-language learning model and AI personalisation in Saudi Arabia amid rising demand for localised edtech.
GAGA, a Saudi-based edtech platform, has raised $2.5 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Phoenix Venture Partners, with participation from family offices and individual investors.
The funding brings the company’s total capital raised to $4.2 million, following an earlier $1.7 million round.
Founded by Abdullah Alkharsani and Eyad Alshabaan, the platform focuses on live, teacher-led classes rather than recorded content, targeting students aged 4 to 18.
GAGA offers more than 1,000 live programmes across over 200 academic and skill-based subjects, connecting students and teachers in real time. The platform positions itself as an alternative to both traditional private tutoring and non-interactive digital learning models.
Its content is delivered in Arabic and aligned with local education systems, reflecting growing demand for localised edtech solutions in Saudi Arabia.
The company is also developing AI-powered tools to personalise learning, using performance data and teacher input to identify gaps and tailor educational pathways.
The new funding will be used to expand the teacher network, enhance programme offerings and develop the platform’s technology infrastructure, with a focus on scaling personalisation and increasing access to interactive digital education across the Kingdom.
