Egyptian Startup Sisters Make Top 10 at Red Bull Basement Tokyo Finals

Nadine and Norhan Nada, Egyptian sister entrepreneurial duo, reached the top 10 finalists of the Red Bull Basement Global Pitching Competition in Tokyo, Japan with their concept, Aquamind. This smart showerhead is designed to encourage water-saving behaviors, helping users rethink water usage, reduce bills and contribute to sustainability.

The competition, held on December 5th, 2024, saw 40 teams from around the world pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges. Red Bull Basement looks to empower young innovators to launch transformative projects, leveraging AI technology for global impact.

The winning team is awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Silicon Valley and Los Angeles in 2025. The prize includes exclusive opportunities such as personalised mentorship and access to industry leaders.
