Ericsson & Dubai Digital Authority Partner on Digital Connectivity

Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson and the Dubai Digital Authority, the government entity responsible for the emirate's digital transformation, have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore joint initiatives aimed at supporting Dubai's digital ambitions.

The agreement was announced during a visit by a UAE delegation representing sectors including healthcare, public safety, education, digital transformation and community development to Ericsson's Imagine Studio.

The memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation on next-generation projects designed to enhance public services, drive innovation and support digital transformation. It builds on discussions around advanced connectivity, AI-powered city operations and digital inclusion.

Under the collaboration, the two parties will examine programmes intended to expand access to connectivity and digital services while improving efficiency, resilience and citizen-focused outcomes.

By combining the Dubai Digital Authority's role in advancing the emirate's digital agenda with Ericsson's expertise in connectivity and digital infrastructure, the partnership will explore how technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud platforms can contribute to smarter city operations, stronger public services and improved quality of life.
