Lianlian DigiTech Opens Middle East Office at DIFC
The global payments company will use its new Dubai base to expand cross-border payments and treasury services between China and the region.
Global payments and fintech company Lianlian DigiTech has opened its Middle East regional office at Dubai International Financial Centre, expanding its cross-border payment and treasury operations from Dubai.
The move follows the company’s receipt of a Category 3D Payment Service Provider licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority. From DIFC, Lianlian plans to support businesses operating between China, the Middle East and global markets through services including local collections, foreign exchange conversions, hedging and global vendor payouts.
The company said demand is increasing for multi-currency cash management and localised payment infrastructure along the China-UAE trade corridor, particularly among businesses navigating several banking and regulatory systems. It plans to deepen partnerships with regional banks, financial institutions and commercial platforms as part of the expansion.
Lianlian DigiTech is also building on existing partnerships in the region, including work with Noon and support for merchant settlements on Amazon UAE and Amazon Saudi Arabia, aimed at helping cross-border sellers repatriate revenue and manage liquidity across currencies.
