Microsoft Signs Deal for $544 Million Hyperscale Data Centre in Dubai
Emirates Integrated Telecommunications and Microsoft sealed a hyperscale data centre deal during Dubai AI Week.

Dubai's Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has entered a Dhs 2 billion deal ($544.5 million) with Microsoft to build a hyperscale data centre in the city. The agreement, confirmed by Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, was finalised during the ongoing Dubai AI Week.
The deal is expected to develop the UAE’s data infrastructure, as hyperscale data centers are crucial for supporting advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. Hyperscale data centers are designed to handle vast amounts of data, offering high-performance computing and cloud services to businesses in various industries. As cloud services and AI demand continue to grow, data centres have become vital hubs for the region’s digital transformation.
