Nestlé, EEA & engazaat to Create Platform for Green Startups in Egypt
The platform will promote environmental awareness, encouraging businesses to adopt clean technologies and green supply chains.
Egypt’s Entrepreneurial Awards (EEA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with its sustainability partner @nestleegypt and cleantech utilities startup engazaat to establish a platform for green startups in Egypt, providing support for local businesses.
The new platform harnesses engezaat’s industry knowledge as Nestlé’s sustainability partner in the farm-to-table supply chain, and will promote sustainability across all business sectors and encourage entrepreneurs to drive the green transition, adopt clean technologies and build green supply chains.
As part of the MoU signing, all 2024 finalists for the EEA Sustainability category will be integrated into Nestlé Egypt’s value chain, providing the startups with all the resources, technical assistance and expertise needed, and presenting a significant opportunity for exposure and a chance to be included in the company’s global value chain. The MoU also includes a commitment to collaborate on the inaugural Sustainability Summit, which will bring together Egypt’s startup community to champion sustainability and clean, green business models.
