ULA, a Saudi edtech startup, has raised $28 million in a Series B funding round led by Growth Visions Fund, with participation from Jordan Capital & Investment Fund and Foursan Group. The funding comes as the company looks to scale its presence in Saudi Arabia and introduce a generative AI-backed digital education platform.
Founded by Alaa Jarrar, ULA is a platform that prioritises the use of emerging technology like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality to create personalised learning experiences. Its goal is to narrow the gap between public and private education by integrating these technologies into the curriculum.
Saudi Arabia’s edtech sector is expanding rapidly, with a projected 13.3% growth rate from 2024 to 2032, according to IMARC. Increased investment in AI-driven learning solutions is anticipated to reshape the role of technology in education.
