UAE-Based LVL Wellbeing Raises $10 Million in Series A Round
The corporate wellness platform will use the funding to develop service capabilities and expand worldwide.
UAE-based corporate wellbeing startup LVL Wellbeing has just closed its Series A funding round at $10 million. The round was led by MG Wellness Holding, a wellness-focussed subsidiary of Multiply Group, an Abu Dhabi-based investment holding company.
Founded in 2017 by Dilesh Bhimjiani, Gary Blowers, and Graeme Perry, LVL Wellbeing provides individuals, teams and corporations with a well-being platform aimed at fostering a healthier work/life balance. The platform will use the funds to scale operations and develop new product features, including Arabic language services across all operations.
“Additionally, we will double down on our investment in creating unique, immersive experiences in corporate spaces, giving our members the opportunity to prioritise their well-being whether at home, in the office or whilst travelling,” Gary Blowers, LVL Wellbeing CEO, tells StartupScene. “The investment will also seed LVL Wellbeing’s expansion into Saudi Arabia as part of its organic regional growth plans.”
Following this latest round of funding, LVL Wellbeing will incorporate Multiply Group subsidiary HealthierU into its operations. The marketplace platform connects individuals with wellness consultants worldwide via virtual 1-on-1 sessions.
“The integration of HealthierU into the LVL Wellbeing ecosystem will enable us to combine forces to offer the most comprehensive preventative health and wellbeing services to our members and clients - starting with further growth in the UAE and then expanding our focus regionally, and then globally,” Blowers says. “With LVL Wellbeing having concentrated on building a product that’s focused on content and engagement, broadening the offering that HealthierU has developed will create a market-leading holistic solution for our combined client portfolio and member base.”
In light of the broader corporate re-think since the COVID-19 pandemic, LVL Wellbeing has become a prominent player in the provision of workplace wellness solutions. The conclusion of the Series A funding round follows a string of business wins for the startup including a new hospitality partnership, which will enable LVL Wellbeing to expand to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Canada.
