1,000 Bicycles Distributed to Mark Inauguration of AlUla's Cycle Path
The new 45-kilometer cycling track aims to promote sports participation across the kingdom.
The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) recently distributed over 1,000 bicycles to commemorate the inauguration of a new 45-kilometer cycling path in AlUla.
The bicycles were given to Saudi citizens who successfully completed cycling courses and road safety education sessions. Additionally, the RCU marked the opening of the cycling path by hosting a race, which saw more than 200 cyclists blazing through centuries-old Saudi history. The participants included members of the AlUla Cyclists Club as well as local Saudi citizens.
AlUla’s new cycling path comes as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to promote sports participation among Saudi citizens. Meanwhile, as part of AlUla Moments sporting season, more than 119 world-class cyclists are set to compete at the Saudi historic city for the fourth edition of AlUla Tour 2024.
