1 Million Citizens to Be Trained in Vocational Skills by 2028
The initiative includes mobile units offering free courses in tailoring, electricity, plumbing, IT, and languages, with certification.
Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy and Minister of Labour Mohamed Gobran signed a cooperation protocol with Sonaa El Kheir Foundation to initiate a vocational training programme, with the goal of training one million citizens over three years.
The initiative, aligned with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s directives, targets villages under the Haya Karima project to improve the quality of life and infrastructure of rural areas. The programme will see mobile training units offer free short courses in tailoring, electricity, plumbing, IT maintenance and languages, with skill certification and work licenses provided upon completion.
