17th Egyptian National Theatre Festival Opens Submissions

The Egyptian National Theatre Festival has officially opened submissions for its 17th edition in 2024. Actor Mohamed Riad will be in charge of the festival to ensure the quality of submissions and performances.
From May 20th until July 1st, interested participants can submit entries for the ‘Theatrical Performances’ competition. The festival management has outlined the necessary conditions for participation, stipulating that productions seeking to enter must have been produced between July 1st, 2023, and June 30th, 2024. Additionally, the performance must have been presented to the public for a minimum of two days, with documentation provided to confirm this.
Participating groups are also required to bear the responsibility of transporting and installing set decorations and performance accessories. The festival management will not provide any decor pieces, furniture, or accessories. Moreover, participating groups must agree to perform in the theaters designated by the festival management, with no entitlement to select a specific venue or request changes after the schedule has been finalized and the group notified.
