2.6 Million Passengers Fly Through Cairo Airport in January 2025

In January 2025, Cairo International Airport experienced an increase in air traffic with nearly 2.6 million passengers, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, Ayman Fawzy Arab.
The number of combined domestic and international flights also grew by 7% compared to last year, adding up to a total 18,450 flights in January. The Egyptian Holding Company also reports that Cairo Airport is expected to see another increase during the near future, likely due to passengers flying for Umrah during the months of Ramadan and Shaaban.
