These clinics will provide medical treatment, counseling and psychological support to help combat violence against women.

The Ministry of Health and Population is preparing to open 'Safe Women's Clinics' in primary care facilities in all governorates across Egypt. These clinics will provide medical treatment, counseling and psychological support to help combat violence against women, and are being set up in cooperation with the National Council for Women and the United Nations Population Fund.
As of January 2022, the Ministry of Health and Population will open 20 of these clinics as part of the first phase of this project. They are currently training medical teams to provide psychological services, to perform first aid for women who have been exposed to any form of violence, and to spread awareness of women's issues and ways for women to protect themselves.
