Women’s Health Initiative Received 56.4 Million Visits Since 2019

The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded over 56.4 million visits from women seeking health screenings and awareness services under the Presidential Women’s Health Initiative since its launch in July 2019. The initiative aims to provide free early detection and treatment of breast cancer, alongside screenings for non-communicable diseases like diabetes, hypertension and obesity.

Services are available across 3,663 health units and 102 hospitals nationwide, with 770,905 women referred for advanced examinations. Using globally recognised protocols, the program includes 14 centres run by the Ministry of Health, and an additional 14 by the Supreme Council of University Hospitals.

Since its inception, the initiative has detected 30,798 cases of breast cancer, performed 402,988 mammograms and analysed 46,989 tumour samples. Beyond healthcare, the program has trained 30,005 medical professionals and received over 27,000 inquiries via the ‘100 Million Health’ hotline. The initiative supports women aged 18 and above, emphasising prevention, reproductive health awareness and family planning.
