The Governor of Cairo has announced a new beautification project for Tahrir Square, aimed at enhancing its aesthetic appeal and providing a greener space for the public. This initiative, directed by Dr Ibrahim Saber, includes fresh painting of columns and fences, an upgraded lighting system, and a significant increase in green spaces with nearly 23,000 new plants and flowers.

Additionally, the planting areas within the square will be renovated to feature Islamic and Pharaonic designs, including lotus flowers, to complement the square's landmarks.
