30th of June Memorial Museum to Be Established in New Capital

The Egyptian government has approved a proposal to establish the 30th of June Memorial Museum in the New Administrative Capital. Set within the capital's Arts and Culture City, the museum will serve as an institution to document the events of the June 30th uprising in 2013, when millions of Egyptians took to the streets to demand the removal of then-President Mohamed Morsi.

The museum will feature a wide array of exhibits, including photographs, documents and documentary films that chronicle the mass protests across the country.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the proposed 30th of June Memorial Museum is part of broader efforts to document and preserve significant moments in Egypt’s modern history, offering a space for reflection on the political events that have shaped the nation in recent years.
