AI-Powered Visa Processing Introduced in the UAE
The move aims to streamline business and tourist visa applications as outbound travel from the UAE continues to rise.

The UAE is set to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate visa processing times, as part of wider efforts to meet rising demand for outbound travel. With destinations such as the Schengen Area, the US, and Asia witnessing a spike in applications from the region, new AI platforms look to reduce processing delays and eliminate the need for manual intervention.
One such platform, Visarun.ai, is among those leveraging AI to automate business and tourist visa applications, minimising human input and reducing the likelihood of administrative errors. In tandem with these developments, blockchain technology is also being introduced to enhance security through the issuance of digital visas and the integration of biometric data.
These efforts come in response to significant growth in travel demand across the UAE and wider MENA region. Outbound tourism from the UAE alone is expected to rise by 20% to 25% in 2025, according to industry projections.
