'Tutankhamun' by Zahi Hawass Published as GEM Companion Book
Dedicated to the famed boy king, the book accompanies the Grand Egyptian Museum’s display of more than 5,000 objects belonging to Tutankhamun, gathered under one roof for the first time in history.
'Tutankhamun' by Dr. Zahi Hawass, renowned Egyptian archaeologist and former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, has just been released as the official companion book to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Published by Italian production house Laboratoriorosso, the book pays tribute to the young pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty, whose tomb was found almost entirely intact in 1922, sparking global fascination with ancient Egypt.
The book accompanies GEM’s display of more than 5,000 objects belonging to Tutankhamun, gathered under one roof for the first time in history. Readers will explore everything from everyday belongings and royal regalia to mummification tools and the legendary 23-carat gold funerary mask. With archival insights, archaeological context, and visuals capturing objects once sealed in the Valley of the Kings, the book offers a rare window into the pharaoh’s world.
