Abu Dhabi & Sotheby's Launch Collector’s Week With USD 250M Showcase

Abu Dhabi will host the first edition of Collector’s Week, a new initiative organised by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office in collaboration with Sotheby’s. The programme will feature auctions, viewings and exhibitions showcasing objects valued at a combined USD 250 million. On December 5th, the auction titled 'Precision and Brilliance: Prestigious Jewels and Watches from an Important Private Collection' will present pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bvlgari, Tiffany & Co. and Boivin. The sale includes the Desert Rose, a 31.86-carat Fancy Vivid Orangy Pink Diamond valued at USD 5 million to USD 7 million, which was first revealed earlier this year. Collector’s Week will also include exhibitions and public viewings, allowing visitors to see pieces that Sotheby’s identifies as the largest deep green diamond in the world and the largest flawless diamond on record.
