African Space Agency’s Headquarters Will Be Built in Egypt
The agency is set to become a central organization for space research and innovation across Africa.
First proposed during the African Union summit in 2019, the African Space Agency’s headquarters will soon be built in Egypt. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashuor signed an agreement that will kickstart the construction of the headquarters, which will mainly be hosted and operated by the Egyptian government, and will bring together space researchers and explorers from across Africa.
Worth USD 10 million in investments, the project is part of a national vision prioritizing economic and social development, and creating tech-driven job opportunities for future generations.
