Al Azhar to Establish College Specializing in Artificial Intelligence
Al Azhar President Dr. Salama Dawood said the move reflects the university’s commitment to modernisation.
During a press conference announcing the results of the coordinated admissions at Al Azhar University for the 2024-2025 academic year, President Dr. Salama Dawood announced that the university is in the process of establishing a dedicated college for Artificial Intelligence, as well as an AI centre focused on preserving Islamic heritage. This initiative aims to keep the university up to date with the latest technological advancements.
Dr. Salama also emphasised the university’s commitment to developing and expanding its existing programs, noting that this will be the first year its Islamic Studies programme will be offered in Chinese.
