Bollywood Star Rekha to Attend Red Sea International Film Festival
She is set to appear at the screening of Muzaffar Ali’s newly restored 1981 classic ‘Umrao Jaan’, in which she delivered one of Indian cinema’s most acclaimed performances.
Bollywood icon Rekha, one of the most celebrated actresses of the 1980s and 1990s, will attend the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah this December.
She is set to appear at the screening of Muzaffar Ali’s newly restored 1981 classic ‘Umrao Jaan’, in which she delivered one of Indian cinema’s most acclaimed performances. The screening marks the first time the film will be shown outside India since its original release over four decades ago, honouring Rekha’s enduring influence on film and culture.
Founded in 2019, the Red Sea International Film Festival will take place from December 4th to 13th in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district.
